The Molot “Hammer” system is a portable, electric‑propulsion interceptor developed by Nova Labs JSC to counter small‑ and medium‑size UAVs. It consists of a hand‑carried tube launcher and a reusable 1.5‑2 kg interceptor drone equipped with a thermal‑imaging seeker that autonomously acquires targets at 200‑500 m. The UAV can fly at up to 216 km/h (≈50 m/s), reach altitudes of 200 m and engage drones up to 350‑400 m away, using a 500 g high‑explosive warhead or kinetic impact. Designed for rapid “launch‑and‑forget” operation, Molot is intended to supplement conventional air‑defence units and is slated for fielding with Russian forces in the current Special Operations theatre.
