The Cheel® is a VTOL‑type surveillance UAV developed by Dynauton Systems for the Indian armed forces. It provides long‑range, high‑endurance ISR with up to six hours of endurance, a 100 km operational radius and a 15 km sensor‑coverage envelope. Its 80 kg payload accommodates a 30× optical‑zoom day camera, mid‑wave infrared (MWIR) imager and laser rangefinder, mounted on a 360° pan/‑20°–90° tilt gimbal. The system is runway‑independent, featuring automatic take‑off and landing, low acoustic and radar signatures, and built‑in anti‑jamming/anti‑spoofing electronics. Primary missions include tactical reconnaissance, target acquisition, forward observation, communications‑relay, and persistent border‑area surveillance for law‑enforcement, military and security operations.
