The ALTIUS‑600 is a tube‑launched, fixed‑wing UAV developed by Anduril (formerly Area‑I) for the U.S. Army’s Air‑Launched Effects (ALE) program and now operated by Ukraine and the United States. With a 6‑inch fuselage, it offers roughly 3.5 hours of endurance and a 375 km (≈ 210 nm) range, carrying modular nose payloads for ISR, SIGINT, electronic warfare, communications‑relay or decoy missions. A loitering‑munition variant can deliver a 9‑lb warhead, providing a 1.5‑hour endurance and 160 km range for kinetic strikes. The system launches from air, land or sea platforms—including C‑130s, UH‑60 Black Hawks, MRZR ground vehicles and larger UAVs—forms mesh‑networked swarms, and can be recovered in‑flight via the FLARES system. Its autonomy enables a single operator to control multiple assets for coordinated strike, counter‑UAS, and persistent surveillance tasks.
