The KVD‑001 is a lightweight, 2.2‑metre‑span tactical UAV developed by Xi’an Aisheng Technology Group for the People’s Liberation Army Army Aviation Force. Its primary mission set is intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) combined with a long‑range data‑link function that extends the command‑and‑control network of ground and airborne units. Operating at altitudes above 1 000 m, the drone relays communications for attack helicopters, supplies real‑time target imagery and laser‑designator cues, and conducts damage‑assessment after strikes. By acting as a “UAV‑to‑helicopter” guidance node (the so‑called “A‑guide‑B” concept), the KVD‑001 enables low‑altitude rotary‑wing platforms to remain hidden while still receiving precise targeting data. Its 2 kg payload capacity supports sensors and relay equipment, but the platform itself carries no weapons.
