The Kaman‑22 (كمان) is Iran’s first wide‑body, long‑endurance UCAV, fielded by the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force. Powered by a rear‑mounted piston engine and a three‑bladed pusher propeller, the 14.8 m‑span aircraft can remain airborne for up to 24 hours, cruise at 300 km/h and reach a top speed of 213 km/h while carrying a 300 kg payload on seven hardpoints. Its kit includes laser‑designator, IR and TV sensors (≈55 km range) and supports precision‑guided munitions, air‑to‑air and anti‑ship missiles, glide‑bombs, ECM/jamming pods and laser‑targeting pods. Classified as CLASS III strike‑combat/ISR, the Kaman‑22 is intended for deep‑strike, close‑air‑support, maritime interdiction and persistent surveillance missions, with documented deployments against Indian interests.
