The Talash (تلاش) is Iran’s first indigenous UAV, produced by Qods Aviation Industry Company and designed by the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research in Isfahan. Developed in the 1990s as a simple, low‑cost training platform, Talash‑1 serve as basic target drones for ground‑operator and anti‑aircraft artillery practice. Launched from a JATO (compressed‑gas) launcher and recovered by parachute, the aircraft is radio‑controlled with a maximum speed of 120 km/h (Talash‑1) or 140 km/h.
