Patroller (8d7a983e-7234-525e-bba9-5bc677f9f958)
The Safran Patroller is a medium‑altitude, long‑endurance (MALE) tactical UAV developed by Safran Electronics & Defense, derived from the Stemme ASP S15 motor‑glider. Powered by a liquid‑air‑cooled Rotax 914F turboprop, it can cruise for up to 30 hours, covering 200 km line‑of‑sight with a Ku‑band datalink and reaching a maximum speed of 314 km/h. Its 18‑m wingspan and 8.5‑m length allow a 250 kg payload, including up to 80 kg per wing, enabling both ISR sensor suites (Euroflir 410 EO/IR) and weapon carriage. Operated by the French Army (planned 28 drones by 2030) and the Hellenic Army (first export customer), the Patroller is employed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, forest‑fire monitoring and, when equipped, precision strike missions.
