Alta X (60836f0d-0357-590b-8d3d-32a12590c18c)
The Alta X is Freefly’s high‑performance, 4‑motor electric quadcopter designed for professional ISR, cinematography, surveying and other payload‑intensive missions. With a 2.27 m folded‑wing span, 44.4 V powerplant delivering 100 A continuous per motor, and a top speed of 120 km/h, it can carry up to 15 kg of equipment for roughly 50 minutes of flight. Its modular quick‑release system and optional RTK‑enabled GPS allow rapid swapping of cameras, LiDAR units, lights or custom payloads while maintaining centimeter‑level positioning. The custom PX4/Auterion flight stack supports manual, waypoint, loiter and return‑to‑home modes, and the platform is NDAA‑compliant, IP43‑rated, and operated primarily by U.S. agencies for non‑weaponized, precision‑aerial applications.
