ARK 40 (5cf34b47-0751-58b0-8b7d-9ef63630b514)
The ARK 40 is a Chinese‑manufactured octocopter VTOL UAV produced by Shenzhen Skylab M&C Technology Company. Powered by an electric motor, it can remain airborne for up to 2.5 hours while carrying a 2 kg payload, and its maximum payload capacity is 10 kg. The platform features redundant navigation, flight‑control, propulsion and battery systems, plus an emergency‑landing module, and it integrates millimetre‑wave radar, vision sensors and RTK positioning to achieve centimetre‑level landing accuracy. Although it can be weaponised, its primary commercial role is short‑ to medium‑range cargo delivery; SF Express has deployed the ARK 40 on a 6.3 km university‑to‑distribution‑center route, cutting delivery time by 77 % to about seven minutes and supporting trips of up to 20 km at 5 km altitude.
