Harpy (5808a08f-86d3-52e6-ae64-77e0272f4357)
The Harpy is Israel Aerospace Industries’ anti‑radiation loitering munition designed for SEAD/DEAD missions. Launched from ground‑based or naval canisters, the system autonomously searches for and attacks active radar emitters, creating a protected corridor for friendly aircraft. Its anti‑radiation seeker can detect and home on a wide range of frequencies, while the vehicle can loiter for up to nine hours, operating day or night, in all weather and even in GNSS‑denied environments. The Harpy’s “fire‑and‑forget” capability allows operators to engage high‑value air‑defence targets without prior targeting data, making it a strategic tool for suppressing enemy air‑defence networks and enabling air‑space dominance.
