Spike Firefly (46e7ad24-b31c-5efc-baa4-d3699fd7b867)
The Spike Firefly is Rafael’s tactical loitering‑munition UAV, part of the L‑SPIKE family that adds a “loiter‑and‑strike” capability to the well‑known Spike missile line. Designed for the Israeli Defence Forces, the system can be launched from ground or vehicle platforms, cruise to a designated area, hover while the operator conducts visual or electronic target confirmation, and then dive‑bomb the selected target with a precision warhead. Its primary role is to provide rapid, low‑observable engagement of high‑value or time‑critical targets—such as enemy command posts, radar emitters, or lightly‑armoured vehicles—while reducing collateral damage and the logistical footprint of traditional strike assets.
