Deployed in Syria and extensively in the 2022‑2025 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the platform has demonstrated both surveillance and kinetic capabilities, though losses to modern air‑defence have been reported. An export‑focused variant, Orion‑E, has been sold to at least one foreign customer (Ethiopia) as of 2026.
