Johnnette JM-1 (3067a6a0-b6a5-5998-80c7-f937119cafd9)

The Johnnette JM‑1 is a compact electric loitering‑munition developed by Johnnette Technologies in India for the Indian Army’s land and naval forces. With a 1.4 m wingspan, 3.8 kg airframe and a 500 g warhead, the system can loiter for up to 20 minutes, travel at 80–120 km/h and operate within a 5 km radius at altitudes up to 500 m AGL. Launched pneumatically from a canister or by hand, it uses GPS‑guided autonomous flight and a closed‑source, encrypted ground‑control station (MIL‑STD‑compatible) for target selection and an abort option to limit collateral damage. Designed as an affordable, reusable “fire‑and‑forget” solution, the JM‑1 provides precision strikes against lightly armoured vehicles, bunkers and personnel, supporting amphibious and expeditionary operations while maintaining low logistical footprints.
