The Meraj 504 is a small, fixed‑wing tactical UAV produced by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces for Iran’s own forces. Designed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, it can operate for up to ten hours, cruise at around 100 km/h and carry a modest 2.5 kg payload, typically a camera suite or a light explosive warhead. Launched from a vehicle using a belly‑landing system, the platform requires no runway, allowing rapid deployment in Iran’s rugged terrain and along its borders. Its primary role is to provide extended‑range situational awareness and, when equipped with a warhead, to conduct limited strike or “kamikaze” attacks against high‑value targets.
