The R2‑600, developed by French aerospace firm Fly‑R, is a high‑altitude long‑endurance (HALE) UAV that combines a hybrid combustion‑electric powerplant to deliver up to 25 hours of flight with an external fuel tank and a top speed of 500 km/h. With a 6.1 m wingspan, a 1 700 kg maximum take‑off weight and a 600 kg payload capacity, the platform can carry a range of ISR sensors, SIGINT suites and modular weapons. Adopted by the French Armed Forces, the R2‑600 is intended for persistent surveillance of maritime approaches, border zones and critical infrastructure, augmenting satellite and manned assets in the Sahel, Indo‑Pacific and European theatres while providing rapid, long‑range intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities.
