The TALAY is a Turkish‑built, electric‑propulsion UAV designed by SolidAERO for low‑altitude maritime operations. Exploiting a wing‑in‑ground effect, it can fly as low as 30 cm above the sea, remaining below the radar horizon of most naval vessels. With a 2 m wingspan, a top speed of 200 km/h, three‑hour endurance and a 30 kg payload, TALAY can carry sensors or precision‑guided munitions for surveillance, reconnaissance, normal‑attack, top‑attack or harbor‑strike missions. Its foldable wing design enables rapid launch from coastal platforms or ships, giving Turkey a stealthy, expendable strike capability that augments littoral defence, anti‑access/area‑denial and asymmetric naval warfare.
